• NHS England is inviting GP practices to submit ‘expressions of interest’ to be a pilot site, to extend patient access and help shape the future of general practice. There will be at least nine pilots covering an overall total of half a million patients, with at least one in each region of England, to support the spread of innovation. The pilots are intended to test a range of options for improving access to general practice, such as extended hours, weekend opening and better use of ‘telecare’.
