  • Based on the Commissioning Intelligence Model which outlines the intelligence CCGs have identified as critical to their commissioning activities, the NHS Commissioning Board has published the Commissioning Intelligence Self-Assessment Tool (CISAT).
  • CISAT has been designed to help CCGs understand how commissioning intelligence can be used to improve outcomes, identify any gaps in current provision, and identify the commissioning intelligence services that they may then wish to procure.

  • Results of a large-scale engagement exercise to understand the information needs of emerging CCGs. The Report presents intelligence requirements in the form of a Commissioning Intelligence Model designed to address these questions:

    • What is really happening in this system?
    • How much?
    • How Do We Compare?
    • Are My Providers Delivering What They Agreed?
    • How could things be better?
    • What difference have we made?
    • What are our future plans?
