- This report is a comprehensive review of the factors that fuelled the UK’s Covid-19 death toll. It finds working-age adults in England’s poorest areas were almost four times more likely to die from Covid-19 than those in the wealthiest areas. The Health Foundation calls on the government to learn the lessons from the financial crisis and invest in health, to rebuild the economy and prevent long-term scarring.
