Proposal for a new public service delivery model for Lancashire

Lancashire Public Service Delivery Model:Interim Draft Report
PWC for Lancashire County Council, 9 January 2017
  • This report sets out a rationale and approach for an integration of public services across Lancashire including 15 Local Authorities, five Hospital Trusts, six CCGs, a Community Health Trust, Fire and Police Authorities, local GPs and community-based support provided by a number of charity and 3rd sector bodies.
  • The aim is to improve the experience for citizens when accessing services, reduce cost and provide a platform for improving health and prosperity for Lancashire. Services will be tailored to specifically meet the needs of local communities with a focus on early intervention and prevention and to re-establish the accountability for personal health and wellbeing.
  • An Integrated Commissioning Authority will be responsible for the allocation of the pooled Health & Social Care budgets.
  • Along with the Integrated Commissioning Authority, five Wellbeing Corporations across the county will deliver a new, more integrated model of care.
