Looking for GP practice level data?

GP practice level data is available in these national resources:

National General Practice Profiles - http://fingertips.phe.org.uk/profile/general-practice
  • These profiles are designed to support GPs, clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) and local authorities to ensure that they are providing and commissioning effective and appropriate healthcare services for their local population.
  • The tool presents a range of practice-level indicators drawn from the latest available data, including:
    • Local demography
    • Quality and Outcomes Framework domains
    • Cancer Services
    • Child health
    • Patient satisfaction
  • In addition to viewing individual practice profiles, you can view summary profiles for CCGs. Each practice can be compared with the CCG and England, and also with the practice deprivation decile.
  • Profiles are generated for all practices in QOF 2014/15 with a list size of at least 900 patients. For details see the list of included practices
  • You can export all data (spreadsheet) or graphics (as pdf)
PHE publish a range of tools covering specific topics on their Fingertips platform including Cancer, CVD etc but much of the available practice level data has been pulled into the National Profiles. Other data are available only at CCG or LA level.
