- The purpose of this Framework of Excellence is:
- To build a common, shared understanding of what excellent practice looks like in CCG clinical commissioning
- To support CCGs and area teams to identify development needs and to help inform ambition for each CCG’s individual development
- To support CCGs in their organisational development planning
- To be a useful improvement tool through bringing together knowledge and insight into how excellent practice in commissioning can be developed
- To help chart the general direction of travel for all of England’s CCGs
- To help providers of CCG development support to align their support offer to the needs of CCGs
- Considerations for each area are Why is it important?, What does excellent practice look like?, and Key questions for consideration.
