- Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, the National Medical Director, has set up a seven day services Forum which is focussing to explore proposals for improvements and examining the key issues which affect delivery of a seven day service.
- The Forum is organised into five work streams:
- Clinical standards;
- Commissioning levers;
- Finance and Costing;
- Workforce; and
- Provider models.
- A report is expected in autumn of 2013, identifying how there might be better access to routine services seven days a week.
