- Reablement services, based on funding from the 2010 Spending Review, were expected to save money across the health and social care system by giving support to people after a crisis.
- While there is strong anecdotal evidence that reablement services are very helpful to individuals for whom such support is relevant, but analysis of the evidence undermines expectations of dramatic reductions in dependency and demand.
