  • The Better Care Fund (BCF) (formerly Integration Transformation Fund) is a single pooled budget to support health and social care services to work more closely together in local areas. The £3.8 billion fund was announced by the Government in the June 2013 Spending Round, to ensure a transformation in integrated health and social care.

  • ‘How to’ Guide: The BCF Technical Toolkit - updated August 2014
    • The ‘how to’ guide comprises an overview document and four chapters that provide advice and tips for completing the technical sections ofthe BCF planning templates. They were developed in response to questions and supportrequests from HWBBs developing their BCF submission, and are intended to complement the national and regional support offers including webinars and clinics. Including Introduction to the ‘how to’ guide; Population segmentation and stratification; Evidence based plans; Outcomes and impact measurement; Financial analysis
