Link between population characteristics and quality of commissioning

Association between primary care organisation population size and quality of commissioning in England : an observational study.

  • This study indicates that, once population characteristics had been taken into account, there was no statistically significant association between PCT size and performance indicators. However there were statistically significant relationships with performance for 14 of the population characteristics used ‐ deprivation (12 variables),ethnicity (10 variables) and age (7 variables).
