- Analysis by the Health Foundation (HF) indicates that 7.9% of GPs are at high or very high risk from COVID-19. GPs at very high risk of death from COVID-19 are more likely to be working in areas of high socioeconomic deprivation. 9.4% of practices are run by a single handed GP and these are more likely to be in areas of socioeconomic deprivation amplifying the impact on patients if these GPs are unable to work or limit direct face to face contact.
