- NHS Improvement has sent all CEOs and finance directors of all trusts and FTs a letter which lists the back office function areas they plan to benchmark and which should be priorities for review in business plans.
- They are:
- Finance - Financial accounts; Income-planning ; Management accounts ; Accounts payable ; Accounts receivable ; Commercial teams ; Internal audit
- HR - Recruitment ; Workforce analytics ; Business partners ; Temp/Staffbank team ; Learning & development (including training); Communications teams ; Occupational health
- IM&T - Maintenance team ; Support desk ; Informatics team
- Procurement - Buying/contract management ; Catalogue management ; Materials management
- Payroll
- Governance & Risk
- Estates & Facilities
- Legal services
